AI has moved off the screen and into the physical world. But what exactly makes something “physical AI” and what does it take to win in this space? Duncan Turner (General Partner) and Susan Schoefer (Partner & CTO) of SOSV HAX will break down the shift toward machines that perceive, reason, and act in complex environments, using real examples from the SOSV portfolio. Learn why hardware, real-world data, and physical training require a different playbook than building pure software or traditional automation, as well as the criteria VCs look for to spot the next category-defining physical AI company.

Robots are picking orders in warehouses, driving trucks with no one behind the wheel, and taking on jobs once considered too dangerous for people. In this session, the leaders behind three of robotics’ most ambitious deployments — Dexterity’s Samir Menon, Foundation’s Sankaet Pathak, and Gatik’s Adam Campbell — join a candid conversation about what it takes to move autonomous systems from demo to daily operation. Expect a grounded look at scaling physical AI: the technical hurdles, the trust required from enterprise customers, and the hard questions about which jobs machines should — and shouldn’t — take over next.

About Me Ambitious, approachable, and driven by genuine connection, I serve as Global Head of Technology Ecosystems at the New York Stock Exchange building the relationships, communities, and trust that make the NYSE a natural home for the next generation of technology companies. As the Founder of NYSE Wired, I believe the battle for technology IPOs is won years before anyone thinks about listing day. My style is simple: show up early, invest in people, and never stop building. No transactional playbook just authentic community, long before the opening bell. What I Do Ecosystem Architect: I’m building a grassroots technology ecosystem embedded inside the world’s most powerful financial institution, cultivating the founders, and elite leaders who will define the next decade of innovation Community Builder: Forge an exceptional but inclusive network where today’s most ambitious innovators connect, collaborate, and find their path to the public markets through trust, not transactions. Relationship-First Approach: I see tomorrow’s public companies not as pipeline, but as future partners and friends. Every conversation is authentic, unhurried, and anchored in what matters most to the people building the future. Adventurous, Future-Focused: Whether it’s a media series, a poolside gathering, or a hackathon activation, I create environments as bold and imaginative as the entrepreneurs I serve. My Ethos Relaxed Leadership: Forget the rehearsed pitch and the formal introduction. The best relationships come from human moments that happen long before anyone needs anything. Inclusive Excellence: This isn’t about exclusivity – it’s about building a community where exceptional minds support each other and shape the next era of innovation. Love for People: True impact starts with putting relationships first. Champion people, embrace fresh ideas, help others shine and the rest follows. 🔗 On why the next battle for technology IPOs begins years before companies go public: https://siliconangle.com/2026/07/20/next-battle-technology-ipos-begins-years-companies-go-public/

AI is rapidly reshaping how satellites work, shifting them from static sensors to smart systems that can understand their surroundings and act on them. As new high‑power platforms and agile, maneuverable spacecraft come online, capabilities like real‑time orbital awareness and dynamic repositioning are becoming commercially practical. This session breaks down how modern hardware and AI are coming together to create the next layer of space infrastructure – and why the companies building it are positioned to drive the industry’s next big leap.

AI builders are realizing that space problems mirror the ones they already solve on Earth – massive data streams, real‑time decisions, autonomy, and complex multi‑agent systems. As the industry shifts toward smaller, more agile players, technology‑first companies have new openings to bring existing tools directly into space missions. This roundtable outlines how AI developers can translate their capabilities into practical, mission‑relevant applications and plug into emerging commercial and government pathways built for rapid delivery. The discussion highlights clear entry points, overlooked opportunities, and the mindset that helps founders see space as an accessible, fast‑moving market ready for their technology.

General-purpose robots have long been one of technology’s most ambitious goals. Recent advances in AI are bringing that vision closer to reality, but significant technical and commercial challenges remain.
Skild AI Co-founder and CEO Deepak Pathak joins Varun Jain, General Partner at SE Ventures, to explore why general-purpose robot intelligence may finally be within reach. Fresh off the launch of their S1 model, which showed robots learning complex new tasks from a single video, and with Skild reaching $100M in annual recurring revenue, Deepak will share what he’s seeing at the frontier of both research and real-world deployment. They’ll discuss how quickly robots are learning to generalize, how robot intelligence scales, where it is creating value today, and what we may be underestimating about the next five years of robotics.

As countries seek greater control over their data, compute and AI capabilities, sovereign AI is emerging as a major technology and investment theme. But sovereignty does not necessarily mean building a national foundation model from scratch. It raises broader questions about access to compute, data centers, energy, models, talent, secure cloud infrastructure, and AI applications. This session would examine what meaningful AI sovereignty requires, whether emerging technology markets can develop competitive capabilities, and where the opportunities lie for startups, hyperscalers and investors. Türkiye can offer a pragmatic perspective by combining domestic AI capabilities and infrastructure with participation in the global technology ecosystem.

The $63 Billion Case for Storagemaxxing Your AI Stack
Everyone is optimizing compute. Almost nobody is optimizing storage, and new research, previewed exclusively at Disrupt, puts the cost of that oversight at $63.4 billion a year. The culprit is opaque, unpredictable AI infrastructure pricing that forces companies to raid R&D and hiring budgets just to cover overruns. This session breaks down where the money is actually going, what storagemaxxing means in practice, and how starting with data, not GPUs, changes the economics of your entire AI stack. Walk away with a clearer picture of where your infrastructure spend is leaking and how to fix it.
Stephanie Walter is a results-driven analyst and technology executive with over 20 years leading innovation in Cloud, SaaS, Middleware, Data, and AI. Wasabi Technologies recently appointed Pinaki Mukherjee as GM/SVP of its AI business to lead AI strategy and go-to-market. This puts him at the center of one of the industry’s most consequential shifts, as inference workloads move to the forefront and cloud storage economics become pivotal to the cost of AI tokens. Pinaki has built his career at the intersection of data center infrastructure, growth strategy, and M&A, the key drivers now underpinning the AI boom. Before joining Wasabi, he was part of the Technology Leadership team at Alvarez & Marsal, advising private equity and corporate clients and executing more than $10 billion in M&A transactions and investments across data center infrastructure, semiconductors, and cybersecurity. Earlier in his career, Pinaki held corporate development leadership roles at Western Digital, where he structured the Intel partnership that generated over $2 billion in revenue, and at Fungible, a DPU company, where he built go-to-market partnerships with VMware and Microsoft ahead of Fungible’s acquisition by Microsoft in 2023. As an early leader of the WD Venture Fund, he has also invested in and advised numerous companies across the cloud and data infrastructure stack. Pinaki holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA in strategy and finance from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
