Hardware startup Quirky just launched a smarthome hub and app following their recent partnership with GE. What followed was a collaboration with retailer Home Depot and other brands. The Wink Home is meant to bring the future of home automation to more people thanks to it’s affordable on-boarding price. The demo you see is an outfitted apartment in New York City. Maybe in the future competitors like Nest and SmartThings will offer similar entry level options.
