Shan Shan

Shan joined Baillie Gifford in 2024 and is an investment manager in the Private Companies Team. Prior to joining the firm, she was an investment partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, a global venture capital firm. There, Shan focused on finding and leading investments into next-generation frontier technology companies from Series B to the pre-IPO stage. She began her career at Point 72, a long/short investment firm focusing on global Consumer and TMT stocks, as a senior research analyst. Shan holds dual degrees in BA in Politics (with a focus on Foreign Affairs) and a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
