Praveen Akkiraju

Praveen Akkiraju is a managing director at Insight Partners where he focuses on investments in infrastructure and deep tech and is an industry thought leader in AI and Enterprise Automation. Praveen spent the early part of his career at Cisco, scaling engineering teams to build world-class platforms in highly competitive market segments. Most recently as senior vice president and general manager of enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure, working on the foundational protocols and platforms that underpin the Internet. As CEO at VCE, a Cloud Infrastructure company, he helped define a new category and scaled the business to US$1bn in revenue before its acquisition by Dell EMC. Later on, at Viptela, an Edge Infrastructure startup, he led the company to $100M+ in run-rate revenues before its acquisition.
