Dr. Nabiha Saklayen
CEO and Co-founder, Cellino
Nabiha Saklayen, PhD, is co-founder and CEO of Cellino, where she is using Yamanaka factors to rebuild the body from your own cells, one replacement part at a time. A Harvard-trained physicist, she spent her PhD using pulsed lasers to edit individual cells, the work that became Cellino’s autonomous reprogramming platform. Cellino won TechCrunch Disrupt’s Startup Battlefield in 2021, the first biotech company to do so. It has since received the FDA’s first Advanced Manufacturing Technology designation for personalized stem cell manufacturing, launched a Parkinson’s cell therapy collaboration with Mass General Brigham, raised over $95M from investors including Khosla Ventures, 8VC, and Felicis, and earned $25M from ARPA-H. Nabiha’s life’s work is proving that manufacturing, not biology, is what stands between regenerative medicine and the people who need it
