Mala Ramakrishnan

Mala Ramakrishnan is the founder and managing partner at Progressive Ventures, fueling the next wave of AI innovation, out of Silicon Valley, California. She serves as a board member at Women Founders Bay. Mala is an entrepreneurial leader with 20+ years experience in leadership roles in product, engineering, and marketing in companies of varied sizes: startups all the way to publicly traded companies. She is currently Co-Founder and Chief Technology & Product Officer of Cuvo, a machine learning platform that automates digital personalization using LLMs in media products. Previously, she was head of consumer privacy for WhatsApp at Meta. Prior to that, at Cloudera, she headed product and marketing for Altus, a machine learning PaaS that commercialized Hadoop for data engineering and analytics databases. Mala has a dozen years experience in middleware technologies including spearheading the first cloud based robotic process automation (RPA) SaaS platform at Automation Anywhere. Mala is a third time startup founder and has outstanding ability at driving business strategy in establishing product-market fit of enterprise products. She has hands-on technical ability and is gifted in commercializing deep tech. Mala holds a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University.
