Logan Farrell

Co-founder and CTO, Rugged Robotics

Logan Farrell is the Co-Founder and CTO of Rugged Robotics, where he builds robots that do real work in the real world. Before Rugged, Logan spent eight years at NASA developing prototype rovers and writing software for humanoid robots in the earlier days of the technology. Today, his focus is what comes after the prototype. Rugged Robotics deploys robots on active commercial construction sites across the U.S. and around the world, automating layout in environments that are messy, dynamic, unforgiving, and very different from a lab. These aren’t demos or carefully staged pilots—they’re working robots expected to show up every day, alongside real construction crews, and deliver real results. Logan brings a perspective shaped by both ends of the robotics spectrum: pushing the boundaries of what robots could do at NASA, and now building the technology, teams, and systems required to make physical AI actually work at scale. Logan holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University, where he also serves as a Lecturing Professor.
