Co-founder & Managing Partner, Construct Capital

Dayna Grayson is the Co-Founder, Managing Partner of Construct Capital, that she founded alongside Rachel Holt in 2020. Construct is an early-stage venture firm investing in the transformation of Foundational Industries – manufacturing, mobility, supply chain, energy, and defense, that together represent half of the U.S. economy but have long lagged in innovation. Construct backs the builders modernizing the backbone of the real economy through automation, AI, and industrial resilience, with investments including Hadrian, Veho, Aetherflux, ReadyOn, Kinetic, Copia Automation, Sphere Semi and Vammo. The firm’s mission is to help founders at the Seed and Series A stages re-architect trillion-dollar sectors that define how we make, move, and power the world. Dayna was one of the first venture capitalists to focus on the digital transformation of industrial sectors, building a decade-long track record of backing the next generation of category-defining companies. Prior to founding Construct in 2020, she spent eight years as a Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), where she led early investments in companies such as Desktop Metal (NYSE: DM), Onshape (acquired by PTC), Framebridge (acquired by Graham Holdings), Tulip, Formlabs, Neural Magic (acquired by Redhat) and Guideline (acquired by Gusto). Earlier in her career, she was an investor at North Bridge Venture Partners and began her career in product development and design at Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), helping the company grow to over $130 million in revenue and through its IPO. A graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.Sc. in Systems Engineering, Dayna also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she now serves as a Venture Partner and advisor to the MS/MBA program.
