Brandon Yang is the co-founder of Cartesia, an AI startup developing next-generation model architectures optimized for real-time intelligence and on-device performance. A Stanford-affiliated computer scientist and alumnus of The Harker School, he previously contributed to research and engineering efforts in advanced machine learning. At Cartesia, Yang focuses on advancing state-space models (SSMs) as efficient alternatives to transformers, powering multimodal applications such as voice and text generation. Recognized on Forbes 30 Under 30 in AI, he leads Cartesia’s mission to make intelligent systems fast, accessible, and ubiquitous, bringing the capabilities of frontier AI directly to users, devices, and real-world experiences.
