Beata Kouchnir

Beata fell in love with machine learning when studying for her master’s degree at the University at Edinburgh in the early 2000s, long before it was considered “cool.” After a brief stint in academia, she sought to apply her skills in the retail e-commerce space, leading to roles at Amazon, Zulily, and Facebook, among others. Earlier this year, Beata left the retail space to focus on a new industry as Director of Machine Learning Science at Glassdoor. In her free time, she loves to travel, read fiction, and learn foreign languages with apps like Duolingo.
